Universities are considered the most ideal places for pursuit of scholarship in an ambience of freedom of thought and expression that characteristically prevails on university campuses. That is why universities attract intellectuals and scholars in large numbers to engage in creative activity, adding new dimensions of understanding to the world. For a knowledge-based economy the Universities become key element of innovation systems both as a creator of new knowledge and ideas based on research and as a provider of human capital.

The Vision 2030 is a unique transformational blueprint that would take Ghazi University to the zenith of glory and excellence, and would lead it, by articulating the action plan, to emerge among top universities of the world. The Vision 2030 provides the themes for more detailed plans based on imperative currents for the time and will shape strategic thinking during the respective planning cycle in the years to come. It will also upbuild University's strengths and exploit its competitive advantages and focus on those areas that will provide a distinctive edge that sets it apart from others. This will cut open a new horizon of an academic environment that would provide a sort of competition among the Universities both locally and globally.
