Directorate of Procurement & Inventory Management

Introduction

This Directorate is responsible for the acquisition of Equipment / Instruments/stationary/ tenders like hiring of Security Services, Cafeteria Services, Renting out of Shops, Renting out of Space for Billboards, Hiring of Services for Repair/ Maintenance of Transformers, Generators, Photocopying Machines and Air Conditioners are also executed by the Purchase Office. The key role of this Directorate is to procure quality goods and services, inventory management, management of assets and service contracts to achieve institutional strategic goals and meet operational needs of the college & university in this challenging environment. The Procurement Directorate is conscious of its responsibility and accountability in the expenditure of public funds. Therefore, the Procurement Directorate maintains a competitive bidding process in accordance with Provincial laws and regulations (PPRA Punjab). It is the Procurement Directorate’s policy, to encourage the participation of qualified vendors in the bidding process.

A Purchase Committee is constituted to observe all the legal/ codal/ procedural formalities strictly in accordance with “Punjab Procurement Rules 2014” for all procurements (goods/ services) to ensure transparency and financial discipline.
